Respecting the Ancestral Guardians of the Natural World
Excerpt of the Webinar that took place on March 19th, 2024.
The second virtual event of the WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER SYMPOSIUM addressed how communities have, since time immemorial, honored and protected the spirits of the natural world. These beliefs were (and are) at the foundation of humans' relationship with the ecosystems they inhabit. In these times of crisis, the event delved into the historical roots of these relationships, and the importance of celebrating all the guardians of the nature.
For this event, the storytellers Yoloxochitl Martínez Spinoso and Alejandro Beltrán Cordero, created a story, a fable to inspire all of us humans to stand up and protect our shared home. Follow the link below to read their story, "The Spirits of Nature."
